Using Timescale Cloud (on AWS) via Azure?

Hi, we have an IoT system that runs in Microsoft Azure. We are considering using Timescale Cloud. My understanding is Timescale cloud is using AWS. Has anyone done this? How is performance of using Azure services that reach over to AWS for their database? I guess another big downside is we’ll be charged (by Microsoft) on the traffic from Azure to Timescale Cloud?

I know that Managed Service for TimescaleDB can run on Azure, but from what I am seeing the costs are at least 4x as much.
