Timescale brew formula for error

Getting an error running:
timescaledb-tune --quiet --yes
exit: unknown major PG version: PostgreSQL 17.0

Looks like the brew tap could use an update.

Tried this with EDB postgresql versions 16 and 17 and brew version postgresql@16 and postgresql@17 installed from brew. This is on a macbook M4 macOS15 Squoia.

the docker container at Timescale Documentation | Install TimescaleDB on Docker works fine.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hi @fip, thanks for reporting!

Let’s double check with @sven as he added support here but I can’t see anything on homebrew-tap history related to PG17.

I’ve updated the tools package to work with pg17.
