A prerequisite for creating a fork is to have a backup available from the primary database.
If you do not have a backup - fork creation will wait for a backup to complete but this is not messaged to the user in the UI.
All the user sees is that the fork is “In Progress” but it’s clear there is an issue.
Timescale Cloud should make the user aware that the fork will be created once the backup on the primary is complete
