Error unpacking rpm package timescaledb-toolkit

TimescaleDB and PostgreSQL Installation, Configuration, and Errors

I’ve tried many different versions of timescaledb-tookit and all fail with the following:

$ yum install timescaledb-toolkit-postgresql-16

Installing : timescaledb-toolkit-postgresql-16-1.18.0-0.x86_64
Error unpacking rpm package timescaledb-toolkit-postgresql-16-1.18.0-0.x86_64

found direct download of timescaledb-toolkit-postgresql-16-1.18.0-0.x86_64.rpm (upper right hand corner ‘download’ button). dnf install failed. was able to install with:

rpm -Uvh --nodigest --nofiledigest timescaledb-toolkit-postgresql-16-1.18.0-0.x86_64.rpm
