Any plans to roll out Timescale Cloud to more regions?

I am interested in Tokyo.

Hello!

Yes, we do! This year we plan to expand to a few more regions. I do have APAC on the list as a priority but I think Sydney might come before Tokyo. When the region roadmap is ready to share publicly I’ll try to make sure this thread is updated with it.

As Bryan said, we are looking to expand into APAC next. I was wondering if there is any specific reason for Tokyo/ if you’re able to use another APAC country (like Sydney) for this use case?

Tokyo is where the Binance Exchange servers are located. So I have my AWS stack setup there, better to keep everything as close as possible.

Currently using the Timescale docker image which is working great, but would like to move over to Timescale Cloud so I don’t have to manage it.

I will give Sydney a try when it becomes available.
