As the Head of Strategic Alliances & Partnerships at Timescale 🐯 you will report to the Chief Revenue Officer and will be responsible for recruiting, building, and driving revenue from the global Timescale partner ecosystem and related GTM.
This person will focus on strategizing, engaging, and monetizing global strategic alliances, cloud marketplace co-sell motions, channel partner relationships, and technology partner integrations that bring exponential growth to Timescale’s already explosive growth in Industry and AI.
This role is remote, but candidates based on the West Coast of the US (ideally in the SF/Bay Area) are preferred due to their proximity to our CRO and other leadership members.
What you will be responsible for in this role:
Targeting, engaging, and orchestrating strategic alliances with global data, cloud, and industry platform partners to drive joint pipeline and thought leadership.
Strategic integrations to drive joint pipeline and thought leadership with partners.
Leading co-sell engagements and related Timescale sales initiatives with partners, aligning with our sales and RevOps teams.
Developing and executing partner sales campaigns and GTM strategies to generate partner-sourced and partner-accelerated pipeline and revenue.
Orchestrating and executing Partner Enablement in order to drive pipeline/champions.
Orchestrating and executing the Enablement of Industry Partners.
Managing partner relationships, including executive alignment, joint field marketing efforts, and GTM thought leadership initiatives.
Coordinating key industry events such as AWS re:Invent and similar opportunities to strengthen partner collaboration.
Collaborating with Timescale sales, marketing, and product teams to align GTM partnership strategies with industry partners.
You could be a great fit if you:
Have at least 10 years of experience in strategic alliances and/or business development in the data or cloud industry, with quota-carrying responsibilities.
Bring 5+ years of experience working in co-sell or marketplace transactions with AWS; additional experience with Azure or GCP is a plus.
Possess a strong technical or product-centric background in IoT/Industry, ideally as a former Product Manager or Solution Architect.
Have a proven track record of success driving strategic partnerships, including executive alignment, co-build development, and joint GTM strategies.
Are experienced in managing and enabling channel, SI, and reseller partnerships globally, with an emphasis on APAC and EMEA regions.
Bring prior experience in a leadership role at a successful high-growth startup (series A, B, or C).
Are familiar with the MEDDIC sales methodology and possess strong operational and strategic skills.
Have experience developing and executing Enablement and Co-Sell campaigns with partners
Are experienced in Industry partner sales and territory management through industry partner-led GTM, preferably in IoT, Energy, Automotive, or related industry verticals.
Are data-driven, analytical, and experienced in using CRM tools for pipeline and sales management.
Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and excel at cross-functional collaboration.
